It really isn't that hard

Is it really asking a lot of a parent to sit with there kids under 5 while they have a bath? Statistics or not, 1 child drowning in a tub is too many. Why must a parent all of the sudden feel the need to pick up the house at the very moment your child enters the tub? It's silent, parents!! You cannot hear them drown. I don't care if you can see them from the other room. I really don't. Being in the same room with them is what is most important. Would it really be worth the house being clean if your child dies b/c you just had to pick up the house right then?? Doubt it, but apparently it would take something as drastic as that to happen to have a parent see this costly mistake.

Who needs presents??

A search for the perfect birthday gift for my now 2 year old didn't go quite as I had planned. He doesn't really need anything, and he is still too young to ask for anything, but I still wanted to get him something. I have been to Toys r Us, Target, Wally World, A hole in the wall toy store, Freddies and Linens n Things. From all that running around, I found a stuffed Giraffe, crayola color wonder pens and paper, and a set of sheets for his "new" bed. I made a little cake and some cupcakes for him that turned out awful. Thank goodness he is only 2 and will have no recollection of his big day.

Wednesday...

As you can see by my last post, I work my kids hard! haha. I also need to vacuume more often!!

Today was a rough day for some of us. Wednesdays usually are. We are moving forward as a family stronger and more connected than ever. Sometimes it is amazing what we can learn from our children. As a parent, we are supposed to be the "teachers" in life, but the kids can been pretty damn smart when you least expect it.

Ahhhh, one is calling now. I hope I learn something new from him tonight. :)

Kid #4

Sickies

The pukes have invades my house. Kid #2 puked all night and laid on the couch all day thinking she might. Kid #1 says she isn't feeling well. What a (nother) great way to start summer break. At least the boys are healthy... for now.
I was outside at 11 pm last night spraying everything with the water hose that kid #2 puked on. Why oh why can't she ever make it to the toilet... or a garbage can?? Anything is better than the floor! She had a bowl next to her the rest of the night. Come to think of it, none of the kids ever make it to the bathroom. Ugh...

Now I'm not feeling so hot... Wonder if kid #2 gave it to me??
